I get up at 5am, 2 hours before my family, breathe, read, meditate, write, have the best Italian espresso in the world, stretch, post The Daily Do online then crack on into my day. I know lots of you Daily Do in different ways so help others by telling us how you work your magic on your day. Are you a morning starter or a night time planner?

Just wanted to say you're all amazing. Everyone has their own particular issues/problems/blockers etc but you are all here. You have taken the first step. The first step is the hardest thing to do. You've done it. Momentum will help with the next step.
Thanks Paddy!
I’m almost up to date with the Playlist, and loving it!
Feeling stuck and waiting for thigs to change has been a huge part of my life and I’m changing that🙌🏻☺️
xx
Gracie you have got something positive to add and you just did it! I know you're listening to The Daily Do so you'll get some of the short, simple but profound ways I've affected my stagnation and happiness that were given to me from many others and work. Let's keep talking and well done for getting started on here x
I am a huge procrastinator. It takes me days to reply to emails and weeks to reply to FB inboxes, I am awesome at planning and rubbish at finishing or ”Just Doing” and over the last few years I’ve got more and more entrenched into putting things off.
I am terrible at making decisions and starting things with a positive mindset, and I cannot for the life of me relax!
Some of this is due to physical illnesses with which I struggle to move or get up in the morning, but it’s got to the point that my illnesses are running my life and taking over all the good things.
I am here to change that!👊🏻
So whilst I don’t have anything positive to add to this forum yet, I am hoping I will do in the weeks to come!
☺️
Happy Friday Everyone!!

i understand your waking at 4, think you are amazing to resort to sudoku, and your partner is obviously amazing too!!!! i hope the crushing dread prior to getting up disappears soon xxxx
I usually wake up about 4am and my brain starts ruminating straight away. Nothing constructive, just reruns of memories or what I should have done better yesterday. I've found my secret weapon against insomnia is sudoku (and an understanding partner who doesn't mind me switching the light on). I soon get back off to sleep for those few extra hours.
I still have the crushing dread before getting out of bed and facing the world. Still trying to work out a way to conquer that fear and just get up. Procrastination is my middle name!
i have already shared with Patrick the difficulties i have putting into practice some of the suggestions of the DD. Promise, not due to laziness or unwillingness but due to constraints of household logistics. However I have adapted. When i wake, which is usually between 4-5am, instead of trying and trying to get back to sleep, which is actually counter productive and quite stressful, I am going with it, I am breathing and thinking and planning. i am thinking of the pots to drop, the things to confront and do ( acorn jobs) and although I can’t actually get up then ( complicated....if i get up 3 dogs and 3 cats get up....), so i cant immediately make my bed or splash my face ( do that once the menagerie have been sorted), i am actually doing something..and i do think it is helping.
The first positive step for me has been leaving my phone to charge far far away from my bed. It has encouraged me to get my lazy ass out of my bed and not hit my snooze for 45 MINUTES....yes 45 MINUTES. No wonder I was feeling dreadful every morning.
You're smashing this Mike and I love it! And The Daily Do is sponsoring you when you do that first half marathon...and I already know you'll get there!
Really finding the getting up straight away and splashing with cold water is a great help to get started. I used to get up straight away in the past and do exercise and that but got injured and got completely out of the habit and complacent so this is good to get me started back in to the routine. I know now I will get back to doing half marathons. It may take time to get there but I will get there.
